On the property at Schleizer Straße, Climate-positive living in Berlin is a forward-looking project that combines sustainable construction with a strong social vision. Two climate-positive new buildings, each 42.52 m in length, were constructed in an open layout surrounding a communal courtyard with green spaces and a playground—a true place of connection.

The front building features four full stories. On the ground floor, there is a cluster apartment for assisted living, while the upper floors offer various residential units. The rear garden building includes three full stories and a recessed top floor, used exclusively for housing. In total, Klimapositives Wohnen in Berlin offers 42 rental apartments ranging from 1 to 11 rooms. All are barrier-free, with 20 fully accessible, including wheelchair-friendly units.

The buildings were constructed using a hybrid method combining concrete and timber as net-zero-emission structures. Load-bearing components are made of in-situ concrete, sand-lime brick, and precast elements. The upper floors are clad with prefabricated timber panels and wood-framed windows equipped with external sun protection.

Additionally, Climate-positive living in Berlin is powered by biogas via combined heat and power (CHP) and solar energy from photovoltaic systems—a strong model for sustainable, energy-efficient living in the capital.
